Claire O’Doherty

Claire O’Doherty is the Principal of MacDermot & Allen Solicitors. Originally from Donegal, she has lived in Galway for over 20 years. Admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2008, her main practice areas are conveyancing, probate and family law. She has considerable experience in property law matters and advises clients on all aspects of residential and commercial property transactions including drafting and negotiation of leases, sales and purchases. Since qualifying, she has completed a Diploma in Family Law and received a Certificate in Conveyancing.

Carmel Lyons

Carmel Lyons joined MacDermot & Allen Solicitors in 2022 and her main practice areas are probate, residential conveyancing and litigation. Admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2005 following her traineeship with a leading Dublin firm, she specialised in civil litigation, including personal injuries claims, licensing and medical negligence. Since relocating to her native Galway, she has gained further experience in General Practice, focusing on probate, wills, estate planning and associated tax implications. Since qualifying, she has completed Diplomas in Commercial Litigation and Trust and Estate Planning from The Law Society of Ireland and is a registered Trust and Estate Practitioner.

Mary Mylotte

Mary Mylotte is a native of Carna, Connemara, and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1977. Her main practice areas are conveyancing and probate. She has significant expertise and experience in taxation, contentious wills and estates litigation. She provides advice on wills, extraction of grants of probate and letters of administration, enduring powers of attorney and ward of court applications.
